Disclosed are an epitope specific to hepatitis B virus (HBV) and use thereof. The disclosed epitope is a conservative position on which mutagenesis does not occur and, therefore, a composition including an antibody to the foregoing epitope or a vaccine composition including the epitope has very low possibility of causing degradation of curing efficacy due to HBV mutation, thus being very useful for HBV treatment.본 발명은 B형 간염 바이러스(HBV)에 특이적인 에피토프 및 이의 용도에 대한 것으로, 본 발명에서 제공되는 에피토프는 돌연변이에 의한 변형이 일어나지 않는 보존적 부위이기 때문에, 상기 에피토프에 대한 항체를 포함하는 조성물 또는 상기 에피토프를 포함하는 백신 조성물은 HBV의 돌연변이에 의한 치료효과 저하가 일어날 가능성이 낮아 HBV 치료에 매우 유용하게 이용가능하다.
