The present invention relates to a method for producing a cosmetic product, and to a cosmetic product produced through the same, wherein the method comprises a step of producing aerogel paste by mixing a moisturizing agent consisting of 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, an aerogel mixture, a viscosity increasing agent, and a solvent. The 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol is produced through the steps of: producing 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, which has purity equal to or higher than 98.0% and includes impurities, by reacting acrolein and 1,3-butanediol； distilling the 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol under the presence of water and methylene chloride which is an extracted distilling agent； and producing an anion exchange resin including an allyloxycarbonylmethyl trimethylammonium chloride group, producing a radical on the surface of the produced anion exchange resin by irradiating the surface, and removing residual impurities by passing a distilling liquid through the anion exchange resin to which a carboxyl group is introduced by treating the anion exchange resin having the radical formed thereon by using an acrylic acid solution.본 발명은 2-메틸-1,3-프로판디올로 구성된 보습제, 상기 에어로겔 혼합물, 점증제, 및 용매를 혼합하여 에어로겔 페이스트를 제조하는 단계를 포함하는 화장용 제품 제조방법에 있어서, 상기 2-메틸-1,3-프로판디올은, 아크로레인(acrolein) 및 1,3-부탄디올을 반응시켜 불순물을 포함하는 순도 98.0% 이상의 2-메틸-1,3-프로판디올을 제조하는 단계； 추출 증류제인 메틸렌 클로라이드 및 물의 존재 하에서 2-메틸-1,3-프로판디올을 증류하는 단계； 및 알릴옥시카보닐메틸 트리메틸암모늄클로라이드기를 포함하는 음이온 교환수지를 제조하고, 상기 제조된 음이온 교환수지 표면을 방사선으로 조사하여 표면에 라디칼을 형성한 후, 상기 라디칼이 형성된 음이온 교환수지에 아크릴산 수용액으로 처리하여 카르복실기를 도입한 음이온 교환수지에 상기 증류액을 통과시켜 잔류 불순물을 제거하는 단계를 포함하여 제조되는 것을 특징으로 하는 화장용 제품의 제조방법 및 그에 의해 제조된 화장용 제품에 관한 것이다.
