The present invention relates to a method of administering a composition comprising n-3 PUFAs to a patient who has received, or who is scheduled to receive, a renal transplant. Particularly, the invention provides a method to increase the level of n-3 PUFAs or to correct a deficiency of n-3 PUFAs in the patients blood.
