Thepresent invention relates to an extraction process for anCaulerpalentilliferaextract and apharmaceutical composition containing theCaulerpalentilliferaextract for inhibiting thegrowth of prostate cancer cells, wherein the extraction process comprisesfollowing steps of drying and pulverizingCaulerpalentilliferafor storage in a dark environmentat a room temperature, crudely extracting the drying pulverizedCaulerpalentillifera,allowing the crude extract ofCaulerpalentilliferato be dissolved in an ethanol solution,mixed with hexane and partitioned for obtainment of an ethanol fraction, addingwater into the ethanol solution separation for dilution purposes, adding ethylacetate into the ethanol solution separation and partitioning the same for obtainmentof an ethyl acetate fraction, depressurizing and condensing the ethyl acetatefraction, and collecting an Excaulerpa by using columnchromatography separation at last.本發明係提供一種海葡萄萃取物的萃取方法,係將海葡萄經乾燥、粉碎後,以酒精溶劑進行粗萃取,減壓濃縮之後所得到的海葡萄粗萃取物再溶於乙醇溶液,再與正己烷(hexane)進行混合、區分(partition),得到乙醇溶液分離物,接著進行加入水、乙酸乙酯(ethyl acetate)、區分及減壓濃縮,得到海葡萄乙酸乙酯分離物,再經管柱層析等步驟後,即得到海葡萄天然萃取物(Excaulerpa)。本發明進一步提供一藥物組合物,其包含該海葡萄天然萃取物有效量,用於抑制前列腺癌腫瘤細胞生長之用途。
