The present invention relates to a farm machinery part, and in particular to a furrow opener for a ridger. The furrow opener comprises a shovel handle, a shovel head is hinged to the shovel handle, earthing side plates are also symmetrically arranged on the shove handle, a support is disposed on one side of the shove handle, and a correspondingly-matched sliding covering device is positioned on the support. The sliding covering device comprises an earthing plate, a connecting rod extends out of one end of the earthing plate, and the other end of the connecting rod is provided with a sliding connecting sleeve correspondingly matching the support. The furrow opener for the ridger is simple in structure, convenient to use, high in furrowing and earthing efficiency and suitable for requirements of furrowing at different depths.
