PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI system for shortening a photographing time.
SOLUTION: A transmission coil 5 and a gradient coil 6 are controlled so as to repetitively collect a series of data from the start of each body movement stable period to the end of the period. When the body movement stable period is terminated in the middle of the collection of the series of data, it is determined whether the remaining data, which are not collected before the termination of the body movement stable period, are collected or are not collected by stopping the collection in response to the amount of the remaining data. When the body movement stable period is longer, the plurality of series of data are collected in one body movement stable period, thereby shortening the photographing time.
