A volatile substance dispensing device(101) and method of fabrication thereof based on a container (201) sealed by a membrane layer (220) with at least one perimetral cleavage (103) which prevents lateral diffusion of the volatile substance during storage. The at least one perimetral cleavage (103) is at least partially filled with blocking means such as glue (303) or a protrusion(302)of a separation layer (230) produced by applying heat welding during fixation to the container (201). The dispensing device (101) further comprises a removable barrier layer (240) on top of the separation layer (230).
