PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair designed to make a frame structure low.SOLUTION: The rear end of a front leg frame 2 and the front end of a rear leg frame 4 are pivoted to each other by a pivot 5 pointing in a lateral direction, and the front leg frame 2 is made turnable into a normal position of facing forward, and into a tilting position of facing upward in a forward direction with respect to the rear leg frame 4. The rear leg frame 4 is provided with a first energizing means 18 energizing the front leg frame 2 toward the normal position. An axle 10 pointing in the lateral direction of a lateral pair of intermediate wheels 9 is supported above the pivot 5 by the upper parts of a lateral pair of rising parts 12 rising from the rear part of the front leg frame 2, and a seat 29 and a backrest 32 are supported by a support base 27 provided on the front leg frame 2.
