PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an excreta treatment material for pet animals, capable of producing granules with high water-absorbing ability using Hinoki(Japanese cypress)-based wood meal.SOLUTION: The method comprises the first step of grinding Hinokis processed residues, thinnings and wind-fallen trees in several portional stages into wood meal about 0.2-2.0 mm in particle size, the second step of adding a caking agent to a stock material consisting of the thus ground Hinoki wood meal followed by mixing under agitation to prepare a mixture, the third step of producing granules by extrusion molding of the mixture, and the fourth step of drying the granules at 50-200°C.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】檜を主体とした木粉を使用して吸水性に優れた粒状体を製造できる、ペット用排泄物処理材の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】檜の加工残渣、間伐材及び風倒木を数段階に分けて粉砕し、0.2~2.0mm程度の木粉に粉砕処理する第1工程と、前記粉砕処理した檜の木粉からなる原料に粘結剤を添加して攪拌混合することにより混合物を作成する第2工程と、前記混合物を押し出し成形して粒状体を製造する第3工程と、前記粒状体を50~200℃で乾燥する第4工程と、を備えて構成した。【選択図】図1
