The present invention provides a position registering method and system of a dental instrument used in dental implant, comprising the following steps: an optical positioning component mounting step and a registration step. The system firstly depends on a tracking host to take the pictures of the position of the optical positioning component and the position of the dental instrument and then calculates and records the relative position relationship between the position of a probe and the position of the other optical positioning component, so as to achieve the purpose of registration. Thereby, while taking a surgery, the dentist can know the position of the dental instrument moving deeply to a designated site via the displayed images, so as to provide the effect of assisting dentist in having an accurate surgical position.本發明係提供一種用於植牙之牙科器具之位置註冊方法與系統，其包括下列步驟：一光學定位元件裝設步驟與一註冊步驟。系統可先依照追縱主機拍攝光學定位元件位置與牙科器具的位置，藉以計算並記錄探針位置與其他光學定位元件的相對位置關係，進而達到註冊之目的，藉此可供醫師在手術的同時，透過顯示畫面了解牙科器具深入指定部位的位置，以提供輔助手術施術位置準確之功效。
