PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flowerpot capable of preventing falling of the flowerpot caused by a strong wind or contact when passing aside by installing a string through hole at a specific position of the flowerpot. SOLUTION: In this flowerpot a string though hole 23 is installed on the upper end of the back wall 22 of a goblet-like flowerpot 1 having a stand leg. In addition, a protrusion for tying a string can be installed on the upper end of the back wall 22 of the goblet-like flowerpot having the stand leg. In this case, a material used for the flowerpot 1 is not specifically limited, e.g. light thermoplastic resins excellent in corrosion resistance such as a polypropylene, a high density polyethylene and the like can be suitably used. The shape of the main body 2 for housing a horticultural plant is not specifically limited, but it is preferable to have a shape suitable for putting along the wall surface of a veranda, fence or the like, e.g. an almost semicircle or semi-oval type.
