The invention provides a device (1) for treating a food material, the device (1) comprising:- a container (100) comprising a container cavity (110) for hosting the food material;- a temperature control system (200) for controlling a temperature of contents of the container cavity (110);- a blending system (300) comprising a blending element (310) and an actuator (320) for actuating the blending element (310), wherein the blending element (310) is configured in the container cavity (110);- a food type determining system (500) for providing food material type input information of the food material to a control system (400); and- the control system (400) configured to control based on the food material type input information and according to a predefined relation between a type of food material and a heating schedule related to the type of food material the temperature control system (200), wherein the heating schedule at least includes a first heating stage at a first heating temperature during a first heating time, wherein the first heating temperature is selected from the range of 65-80 °C, and wherein the first heating time is at least 5 minutes.
