The present invention relates to novel use of a carbazole derivative compound having an activity of inducing apoptosis of brain tumor stem cells, and particularly to a pharmaceutical composition for destructing brain tumor stem cells and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating brain tumor, which include 6-cyclohexyl-N-(1-phenylethyl)-2,3,4,9-tetrahydro-1H-carbazol-1-amine hydrochloride compound as an active ingredient, and a method for inducing apoptosis of brain tumor stem cells using the same. Particularly, since the compound can inhibit lipid metabolism of brain tumor stem cells and is highly effective for accelerating apoptosis of brain tumor stem cells, it can be used as a novel brain tumor-treating agent targeting brain tumor stem cells, and can be used widely as a medicine for assisting anticancer treatment in order to increase anticancer treatment efficiency of a brain tumor therapy.본 발명은 뇌종양 줄기세포의 세포사멸능을 갖는 카바졸 유도체 화합물의 신규용도에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 본 발명은 6-시클로헥실-N-(1-페닐에틸)-2,3,4,9-테트라하이드로-1H-카바졸-1-아민 하이드로클로라이드 화합물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 뇌종양 줄기세포 사멸용 약학 조성물, 뇌종양의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물 및 뇌종양 줄기세포의 세포사멸을 유도하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 특히 본 발명에 따른 화합물은 뇌종양 줄기세포의 지질대사를 억제할 수 있고 뇌종양 줄기세포의 세포사멸을 촉진하는 우수한 효과를 가지므로 뇌종양 줄기세포를 표적으로 하는 신규한 뇌종양 치료제로 활용될 수 있으며 동시에 뇌종양 치료법의 항암 효율을 높이기 위한 항암 보조용 의약품으로도 다양하게 활용될 수 있다.
