PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition giving excellent whitening effects and also luster to teeth.SOLUTION: The composition for removing solid products formed on the surface of teeth contains 0.05-18 mass% of phytic acid or a salt thereof, contains no polyvalent cation or contains a polyvalent cation in an amount of less than 0.1-fold mole relative to the content of the phytic acid.
