Compositions and methods for treating hyperlipidemia and elevated LDL cholesterol and for reduction are disclosed. The compositions comprise (a) choline, or a salt or hydroxide thereof； (b) niacin, or a salt, amide or ester thereof； (c) folic acid, or a salt thereof； (d) methionine or a salt or ester thereof； and (e) glycine or a salt, ester or methylated form thereof.
