PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor effectively inhibiting ACE(angiotensin-converting enzyme) with a small amounts of its uptake, and being safe with no concern about any side effects, and to provide food, pharmaceuticals and feed each compounded therewith and to provide a method for producing the inhibitor.SOLUTION: The angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor includes: a peptide composed of either one of amino acid sequences represented by the following structural formulas (1) to (4) or at least one of these peptides, wherein the structural formulas (1) to (4) are as follows: (1) Ala-Gly-Tyr-Glu, (2) Thr-Ala-Tyr, (3) Val-Lys-Ala-Pro, and (4) Gly-Glu-Tyr. By being compounded with food, pharmaceuticals and feed, this inhibitor, with high safety, enables continuous uptake of its own, for the purpose of preventing hypertension and easing hypertensive tendency or blood pressure regulation.
