PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant growth adjusting method moderately adjusting the growth of plants, letting the plants bear flowers/fruits more, facilitating pruning and transplanting, and appropriately managing the plants. SOLUTION: This plant growth adjusting method comprises putting plant cultivation soil S and a plant T to fix plant the plant T into a cultivation container 1 which is set with a plurality of holes 5 on a side wall 2 and a bottom wall 3, and a triangle incision part 6 on an upper edge 4, planting the cultivation container 1 in a planting hole H which is dug for planting the cultivation container 1, waiting until the plant T grows to bear flowers/fruits, and root-cutting thick roots Bi which extend through the incision part 6. In more details, the method comprises pruning to make the most suitable balance between trunks and branches and roots when root-cutting, and fertilizing after root-cutting. The flowers/fruits of the plant T can be obtained while adjusting the growth of the plant T by waiting for a period when the flowers/fruits are produced, and repeating root cutting every year.
