1. A skin care composition comprising an extract from a plant or cell culture, said extract containing about 20 wt.% Or more paulownin and a cosmetically acceptable carrier. The composition of claim 1, wherein said extract contains about 40% or more by weight paulownina. The composition of claim 1, wherein said extract contains about 60% by weight or more paulownina. The composition of claim 1, wherein said extract contains about 70% by weight or more paulownina. The composition of claim 1, wherein said extract contains 90% by weight or more of paulownin. The composition according to claim 1, having the form of a solution, suspension, lotion, cream, serum, gel, lipstick, spray, ointment, washing liquid, bar of soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, paste, foam, powder, mousse, shaving cream hydrogel or film-forming product. 7. The composition according to claim 1, additionally containing an additional agent for lightening the skin. The composition of claim 7, wherein said additional skin lightening agent is selected from the group consisting of phenylethylresorcinol, 4-hexylresorcinol, α-arbutin, kojic acid, Nivitol, ascorbyl-2-glucoside, soy extract, niacinamide, and combinations of two or more of them. 9. The composition of claim 1, further comprising an additional anti-inflammatory agent. The composition of claim 9, wherein said additional anti-inflammatory agent comprises substituted resorcinol. The composition of claim 1, further comprising a tropoelastin promoter.
