PURPOSE: A method for changing genome composition of wild type Miscanthus sacchariflorus Benth. is provided to produce alternative energy.CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing polyploidy of Miscanthus sacchariflorus Benth. comprises: a step of sterilizing seeds of Miscanthus sacchariflorus Benth. a step of culturing the seeds in a medium for inducing callus a step of sub-culturing the callus in the medium and selecting callus a step of treating colchicine to the callus to suppress mitosis a step of washing the callus with sterilized water and differentiating shoots a step of moving the shoots in 1/2MS medium to induce roots and a step of growing the plant in a greenhouse.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012본 발명은 야생 억새를 산업용이나 환경개선용 또는 사료용 식물 바이오매스로서 사용이 가능하도록 형질향상을 위한 야생형 물억새의 게놈 조성 변형 방법 및 상기 방법으로 생산된 물억새에 관한 것이다. 야생형 4배체 물억새를 사용하여 인위적 배수체로 유도한 결과 8배체 게놈의 물억새와 4배체 및 8배체의 세포가 공존하는 혼성배수체 게놈을 가진 배수체 물억새를 개발하였다. 상기 유도된 배수체 물억새의 배수성과 게놈 조성을 검정한 결과 배수성임을 확인하였다. 본 발명의 방법에 따른 배수성 유전체 게놈 조성을 갖는 신규 배수체 물억새는 바이오매스용으로 비경작지에 재배를 함으로써 지구의 온난화와 탄소 배출에 대한 대체 에너지를 생산할 수 있는 경제성이 높고 귀중한 탄소 소재 공급용 바이오매스의 자원으로 활용할 수 있다.
