PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthworm-rearing box for raw-garbage composting that promotes proliferation of earthworms and produces excellent compost by reducing the death number of earthworms through suppression of temperature rise in the earthworm rearing box and preventing pest insects from entering the rearing box.SOLUTION: Since an internal container 102 is installed with a desired gap provided inside an external container 101, temperature rise in the internal container is suppressed and earthworms are prevented from dying by letting in outside air from an inlet 106 through heat convection generated in a gap part and discharging heat from an outlet 110 when the temperature in a rearing box rises in association with a rise of outside air temperature. Pest insects are prevented from entering by covering the outlet with an ultrafine net-like mesh material and forming a structure where the gap prevents soldier flies and ants from contacting the inside from the external container.【課題】ミミズ飼育箱内の温度上昇を抑えて死滅数を減少させ、飼育箱への害虫の進入を防ぐことによって、ミミズの増殖を促進し、優良な堆肥を得る生ゴミ堆肥化用ミミズ飼育箱を提供する。【解決手段】外部容器１０１の内側に所望の間隙を設けて、内部容器１０２を設置することにより、外気温度の上昇と共に飼育箱内の温度が上昇した場合、間隙部分で生じる熱対流によって吸気口１０６から外気を取り込み、排気口１１０から熱を放出することにより、内部容器内の温度上昇を抑え、ミミズが死滅するのを防止する。また、排気口を極細網目のメッシュ素材で蓋う事と、間隙によりミズアブやアリなどが外部容器から内部へ接触ができない構造とすることによって害虫の進入を防止する。【選択図】図１
