The electronic device includes a receiving circuit which receives a heart rate signal transmitted from a heart rate measurement device, a noise detection unit which determines whether the receiving circuit normally receives the heart rate signal or not, and a receiving circuit control unit which allows the receiving circuit to be intermittently operated when the noise detection unit determines that the heart rate signal is not received continuously for a given period of time.
