PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pad type disposable diaper, making the width of a crotch part smaller than the width of an absorber to easily go between three-dimensional gathers of an outer.SOLUTION: In a gathered sheet 224s and a liquid impermeable sheet 221 covering the front side and the back side, respectively, extending from the front side of a narrowed part 223n of an absorber 23 to the back side of the narrowed part 223n, the parts located at the narrowed part 223n are cut off from the parts located at both front and back sides, and folded back to the front side along the side edges of the absorber 223, and the folded parts 230 are fixed to the opposite surfaces.
