PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which is produced efficiently and at low cost compared to conventional endoscopes.
SOLUTION: The endoscope has an elongated flexible insert and an operating section 3. The insert has an imaging means on its distal end and is inserted into a subject site. The operating section has a receiving channel 120 through which the insert is passed, and the receiving channel receives the inserted position of the insert. The operating section 3 has position regulating grooves 125 and 126 for regulating the position of the insert received within the receiving channel 120.
