PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush body comprising core sheath filaments that can stably obtain electrical connection with a conductive member and supply an effective component convergently to an appropriate part, and to provide a method for manufacturing the brush body, and an electric toothbrush comprising the brush body.SOLUTION: Bristle bunches 30 each comprising a plurality of filaments 40 are folded at an intermediate part of the longitudinal direction and press-fixed into insertion holes 23 of a bristled base 22 by flat wires 32 at the folded parts 31. Each filament 40 comprises a core part 41 containing a conductive material, and an insulating sheath part 42 covering the core part 41. Each end of the filament 40 is formed with a tip exposed part 41A with the core part 41 exposed from the sheath part 42.
