The invention relates to a composition for external application for care of skin, oral cavity, scalp or hair, especially for treating acne. The present inventors have found that a molecule andrographolide, present in extract of Andrographis paniculata, heretofore known to provide skin lightening and barrier protection to skin is a very potent anti-inflammatory agent.
