A chewing gum product is formed by a method that includes extruding a chewing gum material to form an extruded body portion with capillaries, adding a fill material to at least one capillary to form a filled extruded body, and separating the filled extruded body to form the chewing gum product. The fill material includes about 20 to about 80 weight percent sorbitol, and about 20 to about 80 weight percent xylitol, wherein the total of sorbitol and xylitol is at least 80 weight percent. On cooling, the fill material crystallizes to form a crunchy filling.La présente invention concerne un produit de type chewing-gum fabriqué par un procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à extruder une matière pour chewing-gum afin d'obtenir une partie correspondant à un corps extrudé sillonné de capillaires, à ajouter une matière de remplissage dans au moins un capillaire afin d'obtenir un corps extrudé fourré et à séparer ledit corps extrudé fourré pour obtenir le produit de type chewing-gum. Ladite matière de remplissage contient environ 20 à environ 80 pour cent en poids de sorbitol et environ 20 à environ 80 pour cent en poids de xylitol, la quantité totale de sorbitol et de xylitol devant atteindre au moins 80 pour cent en poids. Suite à son refroidissement, ladite matière de remplissage cristallise afin de former un fourrage croquant.
