PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lipid metabolism-improving substance obtained by using a kind of aromatic acidic citrus named "Yuukou" which is distributed around Nagasaki city and specific areas and has not been effectively utilized until now.
SOLUTION: This lipid metabolism-improving substance is prepared by the freeze drying treatment and the crushing treatment of at least one of the fruit flesh, pericarp and seed of the Yuukou, and the food, beverage and pharmaceutical substance containing the same are provided. In the fruit flesh and pericarp of the Yuukou, flavonoids such as hesperidin, narirutin, etc., are contained in a large amount, and the lipid metabolism-improving effect by the anti-oxidative function of these components is exhibited.
