That is followed by a relaxing exposure on the patient by the sequential transfer of the patients attention from the nonvisual sensations of heat, dimension and density to the visual sensations from a dark background to complete darkness. The trainings are given as courses. Each course precedes and follows a visual acuity diagnosis that results in forming the image: depending on the initial visual acuity.
