Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft in einem ersten Aspekt neue Angiogenesehemmer auf Basis von Gold(I)-Alkinylkomplexen. Genauer betrifft die vorliegende Anmeldung die Verwendung von Verbindungen mit einer Phosphan- oder Carbengruppe, Au(I), Alkinyl und einen gegebenenfalls über einen Linker mit dem Alkinyl verbundenen Aromaten. Diese Verbindungen zeigen eine hervorragende Hemmung der Angiogenese in einem Individuum. Weiterhin konnte für carbenhaltige Verbindungen gemäß der vorliegenden Anmeldung zytotoxische Eigenschaften, insbesondere zur Behandlung von Krebs aufgezeigt werden. Weiterhin betrifft die vorliegende Anmeldung neue pharmazeutische Zusammensetzungen enthaltend Carben-Gold(I)-Alkin-Komplexe sowie neue Antirheumatika, Angiogenesehemmer oder Zytostatika.The present invention relates to in a first aspect, new angiogenesis inhibitors based on gold (i) - alkynyl complex.
