PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a nematode-controlling agent exhibiting excellent safety on men and beasts and on the environment, capable of being executed at a low cost, and having high controlling effects on a root-knot nematode and a root-lesion nematode of representative kinds of plant-parasitic nematodes providing terrible damage to various crops of both home and abroad, and to provide a controlling method using the controlling agent.
SOLUTION: The controlling agent of the root-knot nematode and the root-lesion nematode contains an extract of fruits of Terminalia chebula as an active ingredient. The controlling method uses the controlling agent.
