PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument capable of highly accurately delivering, to a target site, a catheter that is inserted into a non-lumen area of a biological tissue to deliver a substance to the interior of the biological tissue, while minimizing a load applied to the biological tissue as possible, and capable of simplifying the structure as possible.SOLUTION: A medical instrument 1 to be inserted into a non-lumen area of a biological tissue to deliver a substance to the interior of the biological tissue includes: a delivery lumen 41 for delivering the substance to the interior of the biological tissue a catheter body 10 formed with a distal-side closed lumen 42, the distal end side of which is closed and a long stylet body 21 being insertable from the proximal end side of the distal-end closed lumen 42.
