The present invention relates to a composition for suppressing pore shrinkage or sebum secretion which comprises Potentilla chinensis extract as an active ingredient. The Potentilla chinensis extract which constitutes an active ingredient comprised in the composition according to the present invention has been confirmed to be able to inhibit the formation of complexes of SNAREs (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptors) and to inhibit the release of neurotransmitters and can therefore suitably be used as an active ingredient in compositions for suppressing pore shrinkage or sebum secretion.본 발명은 위릉채 추출물을 유효 성분으로 포함하는 모공 축소 또는 피지 분비 억제용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 조성물에 포함되는 유효 성분인 위릉채 추출물은 SNARE(soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor)의 복합체 형성을 저해하고, 신경전달물질의 배출을 저해할 수 있음이 확인되었는 바, 모공 축소 또는 피지 분비 억제용 조성물의 유효 성분으로 적합하게 사용될 수 있다.
