The present invention relates to a therapeutic composition comprising an extract of Phragmitis Rhizoma as an active ingredient, for moisturizing skin and treating, preventing or alleviating dermatitis or atopic dermatitis. The extract of Phragmitis Rhizoma of the present invention significantly alleviated the symptoms of atopic dermatitis in an atopic animal model NC/Nga mouse obtained by treating the mouse with rat mite antigen to cause atopic dermatitis, reduced the concentration of IgE antibodies in serum, and reduced the amounts of Th1 and Th2 of IFN-γ, IL-4, and IL-10, measured in the axillary lymph node (ANL). In addition, the extract alleviates skin dermatitis induced by means of rat mite extract and DNFB, and has excellent skin moisturizing effects. Therefore, the extract of Phragmitis Rhizoma of the present invention may be developed as a medicine and cosmetic for moisturizing skin or for treating, preventing, or alleviating dermatitis or atopic dermatitis.La présente invention a pour objet une composition thérapeutique comprenant un extrait de Phragmitis Rhizoma en tant que principe actif, pour l'hydratation de la peau et le traitement, la prévention ou l'atténuation de la dermatite ou de la dermatite atopique.
