The present invention relates to a method of treating adverse fat accumulation and related conditions with very low doses of tacrolimus or a close structural analogue thereof. In particular this invention relates to treating adverse fat accumulation and/or sarcopenia and/or metabolic syndrome inpatients by administering tacrolimus in very low dose.
