The present invention relates to a device for scattering correction in an X-ray image, and the X-ray images 30 and 40 have a superposed structured pattern. The device 1 includes an X-ray image receiving element 10, a pattern removing unit 11, and a first subtraction module 12. The X-ray image receiving element 10 is configured to receive the X-ray images 30 and 40 having the superimposed structured pattern 31. The pattern removing unit 11 is configured to remove the structured pattern 31 from the X-ray images 30 and 40 to generate a pattern-corrected X-ray image 43. The first subtraction module 12 is configured to subtract the pattern-corrected X-ray images 33 and 43 from the X-ray image 40 to generate structured pattern images 32 and 42. The contrast measurement unit 13 is configured to apply a local structural contrast measurement function to the structured pattern images 32 and 42 to generate structural contrast images 34 and 44.
