An implantable microstimulator (10) comprising: a hermetically sealed housing (12) in which an electronic subset is housed, said housing having a length not exceeding approximately 27 mm and cross-sectional dimensions not exceeding approximately 3.3 mm; a first electrode (22) external to the hermetically sealed housing, and electrically coupled to said electronic subset; a second electrode (24) external to said hermetically sealed housing and electrically coupled to said electronic subset; an antenna coil (18) within said hermetically sealed housing (12), said antenna coil being arranged around a ferrite core and electrically coupled to said electronic subset; autonomous power supply means (16) contained within said hermetically sealed housing and operatively connected to said electronic subset to provide operational power to said electronic subset; and two-way telemetry means coupled to said antenna coil and configured to allow signals containing data to be sent to and received from an external device, said telemetry means comprising a first telemetry receiver configured to receive data through a first link (48) of telemetry, and characterized in that: said bidirectional telemetry means comprises a second telemetry receiver configured to receive data through a second telemetry link (38).Un microestimulador (10) implantable que comprende: una carcasa (12) herméticamente cerrada en la que se aloja un subconjunto electrónico, teniendo dicha carcasa una longitud no superior a aproximadamente 27 mm y dimensiones de sección transversal no superiores a aproximadamente 3,3 mm; un primer electrodo (22) externo a la carcasa herméticamente cerrada, y acoplado eléctricamente a dicho subconjunto electrónico; un segundo electrodo (24) externo a dicha carcasa herméticamente cerrada y acoplado eléctricamente a dicho subconjunto electrónico; una bobina (18) de antena dentro de dicha carcasa (12) herméticamente cerrada, estando dicha bobina de antena dispuesta alrededor de un núcleo
