PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rapid charging by suppressing an influence of path resistance.SOLUTION: A charger 4 which charges a power storage body 28 embedded in a housing 21 of a radiation image photographing device 2 from the outside via connectors 26 and 42 comprises: a power source 41 for supplying power for charging a voltage detector 43 for detecting the voltage of the power storage body a current detector 44 for detecting a charging current and a charge controller 45 for performing constant-current charging until a target voltage V1 is obtained, then switching over to constant-voltage charging.
