Disclosed herein is an X-ray detector capable of detecting its storage position, an X-ray imaging apparatus having the same and a control method for the same. The X-ray imaging apparatus determines which X-ray detector is stored in which detector storage position and precisely provides charging information of the X-ray detector to a user.The X-ray detector comprises a detecting portion configured to collect storage position information of the X-ray detector and a communicator configured to transmit the storage position information to the X-ray imaging apparatus.
