A laparoscopic suturing device is provided. The suturing device may deliver suture needles back and forth between the sets of the jaw assembly to suture the tissue at the surgical point in a minimally invasive procedure. The jaw assembly may have a pivotable jaw member for positioning the jaw assembly and needle within each jaw in a low-profile receiving configuration for insertion through a lower diameter surgical port.
