Disclosed herein is an overtube for use with an irrigation tip of a catheter during wound irrigation. The overtube includes a tubular body, in which a portion of the tubular body is cut away； and the frontend of the tubular body is tapered in a direction that is away from the cut away portion of the tubular body and is at an angle about 130-180 degrees in relative to the tubular body.
