PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly move a pinion gear without causing an increase in size of a bearing and a reduction in rigidity of the pinion gear.SOLUTION: A pinion gear 32 is engaged with a drive gear 31 which transmits the rotation of a handle 2 rotatably arranged at a reel main body 1 of a double-bearing reel 100 to a spool 12. The pinion gear 32 functions also as a clutch mechanism 13. The pinion gear 32 has a first support part 32a, a gear part 32b, a constricted part 32c and a plating membrane 32e. The first support part 32a is arranged at one end, and rotatably supported to a boss part 7f via a bearing 38a. The gear part 32b can be engaged with the drive gear 31. The constricted part 32c is arranged between the first support part 32a and the gear part 32b, and smaller than the first support part 32a and the gear part 32b in outside diameter.
