A method of producing an ophthalmic imaging apparatus includes the steps of producing an imaging unit configured to capture an image of an image subject in visible light and infrared light adjusting the color tone of the imaging unit using a color-tone adjustment unit having a first optical member configured to absorb infrared light and connecting the adjusted imaging unit and an optical system having a second optical member whose characteristic is the same as a characteristic of the first optical member and configured to capture an optical image of an eye to be examined.
