PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new optical engineering means preventing the diffusion in a living body, enabling a targeting action to be possessed, heightening hydrophilicity, useful as an anticancer agent for beam dynamic therapy, and enabling the technique as an optical and electronical functional material to be developed.
SOLUTION: (A) The light-emitting carbon nanohorn formation includes a light-emitting material in the opened carbon nanohorn. (B) The light-emitting carbon nanohorn formation is obtained by attaching the light-emitting material to the spaces among opened, unopened or opened and unopened carbon nanohorns in the aggregate of the carbon nanohorns.
