PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation instrument enabling reduction in a specific component (for example, nitrate nitrogen) falling in a cultivated plant body; and to provide a plant cultivation method. SOLUTION: The instrument has a shape capable of housing a plant body to be cultivated. The instrument has at least a reservoir for being charged with water or nourishing liquid, a film to be put on the water or the nourishing liquid in the reservoir, and a means for supplying the water or the nourishing liquid from above the film.
