PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractor that realizes reduction in surgical costs, hardly damages an incision part, prevents deterioration in workability, facilitates securement of required surgical field and can change the surgical field or expand or reduce a surgical field area according to a situation of surgery.SOLUTION: A retractor 1 that secures a surgical field while holding an incision part incised during surgery in an opened state comprises: a belt-like body A that is formed by wire materials； and a connection tool B that is provided at one end of the belt-like body A and shapes the belt-like body A into a loop of a required size in a state of being connected with the other end or an intermediate part of the belt-like body A.
