PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological implant that has a surface structure where biological tissues such as bone tissue or the like are likely to enter when embedded in a living body and that has a bonding property to a bone by maintaining the surface structure even when embedded in a site to which a load is intensively applied and even when embedded in an inter-body or the like by driving.SOLUTION: There is provided a biological implant including a dense substantial part made of engineering plastic, a microporous layer provided on the surface of the substantial part, and a protective layer provided on the surface of the microporous layer. The protective layer has a dense skeleton section made of engineering plastic, provided on a part of the surface of the microporous layer and a void extending from the outer surface of the protective layer to the surface of the microporous layer. The microporous layer has micro open pores that are open to the surface of the microporous layer. There is also provided a method of manufacturing the biological implant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
