PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrences of complications such as bleeding and perforation in an ablation of a submucous layer, simplify a surgery and improve the reliability of mucosal resection.
SOLUTION: This fibrous layer resection instrument 1 includes: a puncture needle member 2 provided at the distal end of an elongate insertion body which is introduced into the distal end of an insertion section via a channel formed along the longitudinal direction at the insertion section of an endoscope, and being punctured into the mucous membrane an incision member 3 having a plurality of projections 3b with flexibility which project outward in the radial direction of the puncture needle member 2 at least certain intervals apart in the circumferential direction and a deformation means 4 radially contracting and expanding the projections 3b of the incision member 3, in the fibrous layer disposed between the mucous membrane and the submucous layer.
