PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aggregate of a granular substance by a new shape-control method, which is conventionally impossible, and to provide a method for producing the aggregate.SOLUTION: A solid or hollow aggregate is provided, comprising aggregation of a granular substance of a metal oxide having a particle diameter of less than 0.1 &mum, and a method for producing the aggregate is provided. The method includes dispersing the granular substance in a dispersion medium selected from an aqueous solvent, an alcohol- and an ether-based solvent to prepare a mixture liquid containing the granular substance. The granular substance is dispersed in the mixture liquid to obtain an average distance between surfaces of the granular substance satisfying LDLVO&geLWoodcock in the mixture liquid. The mixture liquid is changed into droplets of less than 100 &mum, which are dried by vaporizing the dispersion medium.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】現状では不可能であった新規な形態制御法による粒状物質の凝集体及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】粒子径0.1μm未満の金属酸化物の粒状物質が凝集してなる中実又は中空の凝集体及びその製造方法である。その製造方法においては、粒状物質を、水系溶媒、アルコールないしエーテル系溶媒より選ばれる分散媒体中に分散し、上記粒状物質を含む混合液体を製造する。上記混合液体中の粒状物質の平均表面間距離が「LDLVO≧LWoodcock」となるように上記混合液体中の上記粒状物質を分散させる。上記混合液体を100μm未満の液滴とし、該液滴から上記分散媒体を蒸発させて乾燥させる。【選択図】図4
