A method for conformally coating a biomaterial with a coating material, comprising the steps of: a) injecting an aqueous phase into a coaxial oil phase in a coating device that allows a transition from drip to jet formation and elongation of the flow of the aqueous phase into the oil phase； b) adding the biomaterial and the coating material to the aqueous phase, where polymerization of the coating material occurs downstream of the jetting of the particulate aqueous phase, resulting in the conformal coating of the biomaterial with the material of coating； c) optionally collecting the output flow of the coating device； d) optionally purifying the conformally coated biomaterial and the oil-free biomaterial coating material of the oil phase； and e) optionally separating the conformally coated biomaterial from the biomaterial free coating material； wherein the biomaterial comprises cells or cell clusters.Un método para recubrir conformalmente un biomaterial con un material de recubrimiento, que comprende las etapas de: a) inyectar una fase acuosa dentro de una fase oleaginosa coaxial en un dispositivo de recubrimiento que permite una transición desde goteo a formación de chorro y una elongación del flujo de la fase acuosa dentro de la fase oleaginosa； b) añadir el biomaterial y el material de recubrimiento a la fase acuosa, en donde se produce la polimerización del material de recubrimiento aguas abajo de la rotura del chorro de la fase acuosa en partículas, dando como resultado el recubrimiento conformal del biomaterial con el material de recubrimiento； c) opcionalmente recolectar el flujo de salida del dispositivo de recubrimiento； d) opcionalmente purificar el biomaterial recubierto conformalmente y el material de recubrimiento libre de biomaterial de la fase oleaginosa； y e) opcionalmente separar el biomaterial recubierto conformalmente del material de recubrimiento libre de biomaterial； en donde el biomaterial comprende células o agrupaciones celulares.
