An ophthalmic surgical cutting apparatus for cutting biological material including a handle, an outer tube attached to the handle and having a closed tip, a port formed in a side wall of the outer tube with a cusp formed by two or more intersecting surfaces, and an inner tube slidable within the outer tube and having a longitudinal axis and an open tip. The inner tube is in fluid communication with the handle, and the cusp of the port and the open tip interface during a cutting motion to fracture and cut biological materials and direct cut materials radially inward into the port.Linvention concerne un appareil de coupe chirurgical ophtalmique destiné à découper un matériau biologique comprenant un manche, un tube extérieur fixé au manche et ayant une pointe fermée, un orifice formé dans une paroi latérale du tube externe doté dun rebroussement formé par deux ou plusieurs surfaces dintersection et un tube interne pouvant coulisser à lintérieur du tube externe et ayant un axe longitudinal et une pointe ouverte. Le tube intérieur est en communication fluidique avec le manche et le rebroussement de lorifice et linterface de la pointe ouverte pendant un mouvement de coupe destiné à rompre et à découper des matières biologiques et à découper directement des matières radialement vers lintérieur dans lorifice.
